Dermatology Clinics of Westmoreland County becomes Fifth Pennsylvania Practice Location to Join QualDerm’s Quality-driven Network

Based in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, Dermatology Clinics of Westmoreland County was founded in 1993, by Jeffrey Thompson, DO. The practice offers a full-range of general dermatology and skin cancer care for patients of all ages. In addition to Dr. Thompson, a board-certified dermatologist, the practice’s clinical staff includes Joyce Brun, a certified Physician Assistant.

Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduation, he served as a medical officer in the United States Navy, providing medical care for active duty personnel and their families. During this time, he was stationed in San Diego, California, Okinawa, Japan, and Portsmouth, Virginia. Dr. Thompson completed his dermatology residency at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. Throughout his career, Dr. Thompson has remained committed to helping advance the specialty of dermatology. He has been a featured speaker at several national medical conferences and provided a dermatology lecture series for physicians in training.
