Partnership Further Expands QualDerm’s North Carolina Network of High-Quality Dermatology Practices

QualDerm Partners, a company that creates market-leading dermatology practice partnerships through affiliations and de novo development, today announced Dermatology Specialists of Charlotte has joined the company’s network of affiliated physician-owned practices.
Dermatology Specialists of Charlotte provides a full range of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology care. Serving the community since 2006, the practice’s clinical staff includes Deborah Nixon, MD, Shawne Caputo, PA-C, Kelly Wood, PA, and Laura Smith, PA-C. Amy Amlin-Wilfong, a licensed esthetician, also serves clients at the practice.

Dr. Nixon, a board-certified dermatologist, has practiced in Charlotte for over 20 years. She specializes in skin cancer screening exams and treatment. Dr. Nixon provides general dermatology care and a wide array of cosmetic services. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University and a medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Dr. Nixon completed her internship at Vanderbilt University, followed by an internal medicine residency at Georgetown University. She then completed residency training in dermatology at the University of South Florida.
Currently, the QualDerm network includes 55 practice locations and centralized laboratory services across North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Ohio. QualDerm has plans to expand into other markets as well. Six years ago, The Skin Surgery Center was the first North Carolina-based practice to partner with the organization.
