Riva Dermatology provides a full range of general dermatology, skin cancer care, and cosmetic services. The practice serves communities in the Lake Norman area, with offices in Cornelius, Mooresville and Denver, North Carolina. Riva Dermatology’s clinical staff includes, Kerry Shafran, MD, Ashley Noone, PA-C, Erin Dice, PA-C, Lindsay Jayson, PA-C, and Nikki Leahy, PA-C. The practice’s staff also includes Mari Klos, LE, CMA, a licensed medical aesthetician.

Dr. Shafran, a board-certified dermatologist, has practiced dermatology for over 20 years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Duke University. Then he completed his medical degree at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, graduating with honors. Following an internship in internal medicine, Dr. Shafran completed specialty training in dermatology at Medical University of South Carolina, where he served as chief resident. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is also an active member of numerous professional organizations such as, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Dermatology Foundation Leaders Society, Charlotte Dermatology Association, North Carolina Medical Society, Mecklenburg County Medical Society, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
North Carolina was the first market QualDerm entered, six years ago, through a partnership with The Skin Surgery Center. Today, the company’s network includes 53 practice locations and centralized laboratory services across North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and Ohio.
